ABOUT US

Kory and Kyle started SEMO Athletic Club to give back to not only their seven sons but to local children in general.  Both Kory and Kyle played college basketball at Columbia College and both are members of Columbia's Athletic Hall of Fame.  Starting a basketball club has allowed them to share their knowledge and experience of the game.

SEMO Athletic Club will not only teach children the game of basketball but also good sportsmanship, respectfulness, hustle and having fun.

The Athlete will demonstrate good sportsmanship by being respectful to Coaches, Teammates, Referees and Competitors by (1) being quiet, listening and making eye contact when a coach or guest is speaking, (2) picking up a teammate or competitor when they fall to the floor and (3) accepting a call made by a referee.

Hustling and having fun go hand-in-hand.  When the Athlete hustles and plays as hard as he/she can possibly play, he/she accelerates his/her playing ability.  When he/she accelerates his/her playing ability, the Athlete quickly identifies with success and when the Athlete identifies with success, the Athlete will experience having fun.  Success will breed more success, the Athlete will learn a very important lesson and the Athlete will have a great overall experience.
